I returned to Budget Brake & Muffler and Automotive Centre because of a great experience I had years ago - my vehicles have been under warranty and I’ve been using the dealership for years. Once again Adam and his crew COULD have charged me for a complete brake replacement but didn’t. I thought, and was expecting, an entire brake job was needed. Adam explained that everything was fine and no need to spend the money at this point. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate being able to trust that they’re only charging me what I need and not what’s best for their business. I can’t recommend them any more highly. It’s so nice being able to trust my interests are being looked after. Thank you Adam and Team!!!

I brought in a used car for a pre-purchase inspection and Mike the manager was amazing. Friendly, competent, honest, understanding, and professional. It was a great experience from start to finish. I've used this shop before for other car repairs and have always found Adam & team to be really good. This is the first time I've dealt with Mike and he fits right into the team because he was great as well. Well done all round!

Adam and his team were able to get my car into the shop quickly to get an anti-theft device installed on my Catalytic Converter. They were efficient and extremely helpful and even called me to explain how the device works as well as finding and repairing a leak in the exhaust that I was unaware of. Adam sent me photos of all the repairs and my car was in and out of the shop within a few hours! Will use and recommend this shop in the future. Thanks guys!!

Adam gave me an in-depth explanation regarding my car's maintenance issues. He did what was necessary at a reasonable price. He also helps me to figure out an issue with my tires which is a big help for my driving safety. I highly recommend Adam's service at Budget Brake & Muffler Auto Centres!

Very fair price for time spent on a brake inspection to diagnose what I thought was a brake related noise. They took everything apart and said components all looked good and were working fine and safely - no work needed, didn’t try to sell me unnecessary repairs or parts. Adam and Mike were very helpful, with great service from the whole team from reception to technicians. Great experience - will be back as needed and would recommend.

I had my vehicle serviced here in February’s and was very impressed with Adam and his team. If your looking for a honest shop I’d highly recommend this location, They will give you a price on how much the work order/job is gonna cost you ahead of time and will stay in contact via phone call or text message if anything changes. After I left my vehicle there for the day to repair a hole in my exhaust Adam noticed certain parts on the car that were worn out and he gave me the option to fix it if I wanted. He sent photos of certain things that were worn out on the car and always asking if I’d like to get it repaired. He did not just repair it without asking me which I respect a lot! Over all Adam and his team is a great hard working honest team. Adam stayed in contact with me through out the process. He even went ahead and fixed a couple of loose heat shield in the engine bay for me so no more rattling. Overall my experience here was phenomenal and if your looking to get your car serviced have Adam and his team take care of it. It's hard to find a mechanic you can trust but I found that in Adam. He never upsells you on stuff your car doesn't need. My old Toyota's backlighting on the dash had an intermittent defect for years. I took it to Toyota a bunch of times and mentioned it. They said there was nothing wrong with it. Then it finally gave up the ghost entirely. Toyota said it was very complicated to remove the dash and fix, hundreds of dollars, and that it wouldn't really be worth the trouble. After that I couldn't drive it at night because I couldn't see my own speed or the fuel gage or anything after dark. In this time a friend recommended Budget on Barnet. I dropped it there for basic maintenance - oil change etc - and when handing it back Adam said "oh, by the way, I noticed your dash light was out so I fixed it." Just like that. Didn't even charge. He said it only took a second. Never went to Toyota again. Obviously they don't normally do work without checking first, and they call and quote you before going ahead with anything, but if there's something they can fix in a second without it costing much of anything they just do it and mention it casually on check out. They also help you triage your repairs. "Such and such is wearing out and will probably need to be replaced next year, but it isn't urgent" vs "well, it can wait a little while but it's going to need to be addressed soon" vs "we can't legally let you drive it out of here like that." And they stand by their work too. Once I had some major brake work done. Pricey stuff. I think it was done by a new employee. Then the brakes failed two days after we got it back. We ended up stranded and had to call BCAA. Had it towed back to Budget. We were pretty mad. Adam called and said one thing and it defused us instantly. "Yeah... sorry." The work was re-done, no charge, and we were offered loaner. ...And maybe this is unrelated but I never saw that new hire again after that... When my Mazda's head lamp busted, and Adam got quoted hundreds from Mazda for the part we needed, he told me to give him 24-48 hours first. He reasoned that there were plenty of this model sitting around in scrap yards so he wanted to make some calls. In 24 hours he had the part. Point is, this is an honest shop run by an honest and knowledgeable guy. His employees are cheerful, personable, and competent, and they quickly learn your face if your cars are as old and in need of constant service as mine are. So yeah. Go to Budget.

Service: Sept 2, 2022 This location is quick and polite to respond to their emails and answering their phones. They were able to give me 2 different quotes based on my needs. Upon arrival they were pleasant to chat with and assured me that my maintenance package would be quicker than the 3hours (they had estimated around 2-3hours) and that they would give me a call when my service was complete. This location was recommended to me by a friend; however, I was disappointed at pick up that I was charged for repair that they completed without calling me first. From my experience, any work other than the agreed upon service, I have been notified and informed of the issue. It is up to me as the vehicle owner to make the decision if I would like to proceed with the repair along with knowing the additional cost. To me that is just good customer service! Making sure that there aren't any surprises for the customer when they come to pick up their car and trust that they will be transparent about your service and vehicle condition. Polite and responsive team but they have lost my trust and I will be doing future business elsewhere. UPDATE TO REVIEW: Sept 27, 2022 After leaving a review, I was contacted by this location to ask for my mailing address as it wasn't on file. I was pleasantly surprised that the folks sent me a cheque for the labor on the charged repair that the team had completed without informing me. They were polite on the phone in reaching out to me and it was a nice surprise about the cheque. This wasn't an expectation that I had so I feel that they went above and beyond in this aspect.
