However Carlos and his team members never gave it up. Eventually they figured it out!! I really appreciated to their respective efforts!!👍 Also Carlos fixed Puma's electrical issue with no charged for me. Carlos & crews are kind, reliable and responsible. These days you almost need an engineering degree to work on new vehicles, it just so happens I have one! It is key to continue adapting to new technology through continued education and updated tooling and software to stay relevant in today’s automotive industry. I am very lucky to be in Kelowna and glad to give people a place they can call their own. A place where your automotive needs are addressed even if they don’t fit into a “check box”. About us:

Budget Auto Centres Kelowna has been in business for 28 years and is now under new management. We perform service on cars, light trucks, commercial vehicles, trailers and equipment. We are looking for an outgoing individual to join our team as a service writer. 

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate directly with customers
  • Create accurate repair estimates
  • Schedule appointments and assign technicians
  • Track and manage inventory
  • Track and manage returns and warranty
  • Oversee goals /objectives in relation to staffing, budget and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with service writers, managers and technicians to have smooth day to day workflow
  • Motivated to increase efficiency

Job type:

  • Full time service writer position.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Saturday 8:30AM to 5PM

Training will be from Monday to Friday until candidates are able to work unsupervised on Saturdays if desired.

Required education, skills and Qualifications:

Experience in the automotive field is not required as we are willing to train the right candidate but we are looking for the following skills and attributes:

  • Positive attitude ready to take on challenges
  • Computer skills, typing, understanding programs, excel,
  • Good health, hearing, eyesight and manual dexterity
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest
  • Ability to keep up to date with changing technology
  • problem solving attitude
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Customer service and communication skills

Successful candidates must have:
• Hold a valid BC driver’s license class 5 or better.

Candidates must successfully pass a background check, which may include a criminal, credit, and credential check. We are a drug and alcohol-free environment.
